This model was
assembled for the B737 Group Build, which was held last year, sponsored by the
Aviation Dream website.
The kit
used was a Revell AG B737-800 (RyanAir livery), with a mix of custom made
decals, along with some FCM and Revell AG decals.Winglets had to be re-shaped (sanded), as the original Revell AG winglets are amazingly wrong. Click on images below to see larger images My initial
intention for lengthening the kit was to use plugs from a previous -700
conversion from a similar kit, both forward and aft of the wings.
But my
plastic cutting skills failed on me, so I had to use an epoxy putty to
fill the junction areas.
Window and
windshield decals are Revell AG originals from the kit. The coroguard and
overwings scape path decals came from the Revell AG KLM 737-800 kit.
Stars for
the fin and the extra scape door, which can only be found on the -900ER version
of the 737NG's, came from FCM decal sheets left overs.
For the rest of the
decals, all came on the custom sheet from RBX.
Stabs and landing gears were
placed in the end of the decaling process. Eduardo Click on images below to see larger images
