I have to get a
better camera. Either that or the solid green is playing games, can't see any of
the weathering....trust me, its there. Any way. This is the Academy CH-46 A/D
converted to a Canadian Army CH-113 Voyageur as flown back in the early 60's.
The model followed
the kit instructions for the most part. I added some interior detail which is
completely lost as I closed the clam shell rear hatch. But I intend to detail
the next one better when I start my Labrador in a month or two.

The model itself came from
a trade which was missing the A style tail and APU. Luckily Belcher Bits
recently came out with a resin replacement. It's really as simple to
install the replacement as it says in the instructions. Cut along the
model lines and glue in place. A very nice replacement.
The decals came from
Bill at Canmilair. His sheet also comes with the window rescue cut lines which
really help overcome some of the very drab one colour paint scheme. Amazing,
mind you the logic of the Canadian army of the day. Cam the helicopter then add
HUGE white letters with a full colour roundel surrounded by a white circle.

Happy Canada day.
