I
have been a fan of Star Wars since I have first watched “A New Hope” in 1980 at a
cinema nearby. I was only six that time and I can clearly say that this movie
changed my life. I can never forget the magic we all felt that day.
When I first heard about Fine Molds’ 1/48 X-Wing, I knew that it would be the ultimate X-Wing. Yes, the model is a snap-kit, but it is very well engineered and for the first time in my life I can say that a snap-kit also has some advantages. Click on images below to see larger images
I have painted the model with Mr. Color paints and used minimal decals. Different shaded panels and red color stripes are all hand painted. Weathering is the key to X-Wing, so I used various different weathering techniques on the model.
