  Brazilian Independence Day 2008

This is my C-119G in 1/72 scale, converted from the old but good Italeri C-119C kit. This model represents the C-119G 2305 used by FAB from 1962 to 1975 with another 12 C-119´s in transport duties and paratroop drops. Decals came from a special FCM sheet for Brazilian boxcars.

The kit fits ok, needing some putty and sanding on the joints. I converted to the G version, making the boom fins with plasticard and changing the engines.  Paints are: white automotive, Humbrol 127 gray and Testors silver, yellow and green. For the interior I used Humbrol interior green.  I made the mistake of painting the silver first, and when masking, the paint came off on the tape, so, after painting the other colors I needed to paint the silver paint again.

I hope you like it :)
