This is a 1/48 Hasegawa A-7E Corsair. I used the Black Box cockpit but was rather disappointed in the way it turned out. I have built enough planes with Black Box cockpits in the past that turned out good. But this one .....I just do not like the way it looks. I would have to guess its 95% my fault, so I'll just have to do better next time. The model itself turned out fine as did the decals for VA-86 Sidewinders from a old Superscale sheet I received from another ARCer some time ago. Click on images below to see larger images As the plane is the CAG bird the weathering is minimal compared to the VA-82 plane in some of the photos. I did that one a year or two ago. What a difference a couple years make when you compare the CAG bird of the 80's to the 1977 version.
That's about it. Not my worst ever build, but far from something I am REALLY happy with. Guess I better break out another Hornet. Shawn Click on images below to see larger images
