This is the second in a series of
articles devoted to my Rareplanes vacform section of my model collection. I
always found it to be a thrill building vacform kits and even though these days
there are repeated injection moulded ones now released on the market.
I have several others vacform kits
waiting their turn to be built. One thing missing is that in vacform kits there
is often the option of building a different kit with the extra parts issued.
There is the C-54 and Sentinel which are both superb kits to build. The
C-54 Skymaster could also be assembled into a Canadair Argonaut with
suggestions to make a BOAC or a RCAF version. If only the latter is released by
Revell or Airfix I bet it would sell like hot cakes.... long live vacform kits
AND their originators/ suppliers
Happy modeling
