1/48 Flashback Aviatik Berg D1

The windows are displaced downwards.  A machine gun was made because it shows of the opening. Lateral small hoods are in tube of gouache manufactured on a plastic model with wooden piece.

Decals are too rigid and I did not succeed in applying them. So I used Adobe illustrator 10 (free 30days), and frisket. The wing is painted in grey. Two other shades are painted on top of the grey. Between every shade it is necessary to clean all wing with hot water and detergent to take away the traces of glue from the paper frisket.
It is better to do a new "frisket mask" for every shade to avoid paint getting under the mask. All hexagons which are not joint ifs are caught in the scotch tape Tamiya.

Weathering with oil painting diluted in essence with "smoke" X19 tamiya.
