My continuing
biplane commitment has produced this Fokker D VI by Roden. A nice offering with
excellent extra detailing potential. Sharing many common parts with the
Dr I, the D VI entered service as an interim to the more successful D VII.

This was an OOB build with
the exception of control mach's., bracing and safety belts, all scratch built.
Control
surfaces were also repositioned. The main wing required re-shaping, a
few of the locating pins were missing, as were some of the strut attachment
points. I just re-dimpled where necessary, with a .8 mm drill.
Two decal options
are included. The decals are well printed but very brittle. Coating
them with liquid decal film helped but they still broke in a few places,
requiring some patching & blending. The wood grain on the prop was
done with a Sharpie marker and damp brushing with rubbing alcohol.
