1/72 Revell Mil Mi 17-1

I think would be a challenge to use 1/72 Revell Mil Mi 8T kit for my Ecuadorian Mil Mi 17-1. Ecuador has this helicopter in Army`s aviation basically for transport.

Mainly you need to change the tail rotor to the left side and to see position for main rotors. Also I added some parts made in plastic like radar and electronic equipment covers, antennas, above main rotor, anti-collision light, UHF antenna, side crane. Nose radar cover was made in resin.

Decals used for tail's flags, tail's serial and "EJERCITO" word are from Begemot. I used 1/48 Alouette III decals roundels from Aztec.

Paints used were XF-62 Olive Drab from Tamiya and Humbrol # 76.

For finishing, I used Future to fix decals and finally to get satin/ matt finishing was used acrylic matt barnish from Pebeo
