1/48 PE seat belts of WW2 Luftwaffe aircraft
Scans and review by Steve Bamford (ARC Staff)
This is one of my favourite items for outfitting a Luftwaffe aircraft from WW2. These are stainless steel photo etched seatbelts, but the thing that makes these ones very special are the fact the belts aren't straight. Instead these belts are made so they have a more natural appearance. The scan of the PE seatbelts directly below appears black.....this is only the reflection of the light in the scanning process. These belts are a very nice silver metal colour. This means you can paint only the belt part and leave the metal part in natural metal colour if you really want that metal look for the buckles. This set has a few complete sets of belts and can do belts for the Bf 109E,F,G,..Bf 110B,C,D,E,F,G....Fw 190A,D,....Ta 152,...Ju 88A...He 111....Me 163 ....Me 262....Do 335....Ba 349....Go 229A and maybe even the Ju-87 as well as other versions of the Ju-88, but the mostly Japanese instructions leave a bit to be desired. Reference photos would help, but with much effort the instructions can be understood...the product more than makes up for the instructions. I bought this product from Hobby Link Japan and I'm not sure if it is available from other retailers.
