CF-18A and CF-18B Special Paint Schemes

These were the "Colour Birds" flown by 'Cougar' Squadron during the 2001 Airshow season. You have a choice of building one of the planes featured on this sheet.....you can either build the CF-18A of the CF-18B that were both done up in this paint scheme. If you look carefully at the image below you'll see both jets have different vertical stabilizer artwork.

The first decal option is a single seat CF-18A and features artwork of an F-86 on the outside of the right vertical stabilizer and a Boulton Paul Defiant in night fighter role on the outside of the left vertical stabilizer.
With the second decal option you can build a 2 seat CF-18B trainer in a similar paint scheme, but this plane features different planes on it's vertical stabilizers. On the outside of the right vertical stabilizer appears to be a CF-101 and on the outside of the left vertical stabilizer there is a Mosquito in a night fighter role.
Included with the decals are 2 pages of black and white instruction sheets that tell the modeller all the small details of applying these decals correctly. Also included on the colour sheet are all four FS#'s (including the red) that were used on the full sized aircraft. This will make paint selection much easier for modellers.
These Leading Edge Model decals captured the original artwork of the full sized planes very well including the delicate airbrushed artwork on the outside of the vertical stabilizers. Included in the decal sheet are full stencils that are beautifully printed showing the finest detail. Both these planes have their false canopy painted in the bright red colour that is used on the topside areas of the plane. Pre-cut decals for the bright red false canopy are included with this decal sheet.
Simply put.....these are beautiful decals of the highest quality that are sure to be of interest for anyone that wants to build an attractive eye catching 'CF-18 Colour Bird'.
