1/48 Resin detail set for Hasegawa F-4 'S' Extended Slats and Corrected Outboard Slats

Set 48131 is a fairly simple/straightforward conversion to add the "-S" type slats to the Hasegawa 1/48 F-4J. Cleanly cast in the standard Paragon light grey/green resin, removal of the kit inboard wing panel leading edges is required. The excised area is then replaced with a resin 'plug' that is used as a base for the new slats. Although Hasegawa recently re-issued its 1/48 F-4S kit, it came and went very quickly, with an extremely limited run. Use of this set, along with the new Black Box F-4J (Navy style) cockpit, could go a long way to bringing one of the first kits in the Hasegawa 1/48 F-4 family up to near-modern standards.
