1/48 Resin parts for Ocidental Spitfire Mk.9 cockpit.
This resin cockpit set is designed to deal with some of the short comings in the cockpit area of the Ocidental Spitfire Mk.9. Although I haven't tried to fit this set into the Occidental kit.....I can say the detail is quite good with the instrument panel and side panel catching all the detail of the real Spitfire. The instrument panel in this set is better than the instrument panel in the Ocidental, Arii and ICM kit and slightly better than the instrument panel in the Hasegawa Spitfire. The side panel detail is a vast improvement over the Arii and Occidental kit and a smaller improvement over the ICM and Hasegawa Spitfires Mk.9's. One problem of note is the door on the left side panel is molded to the resin side panel, so posing the door open will require cutting the door from the resin side panel (not a big deal as the resin is quite thin). All things considered this is an excellent set if you own the Ocidental Mk.9 or Arii Mk.8 Spitfire's and even somewhat of an improvement over the ICM and Hasegawa Spitfires.
