Master modeler Michael Kirchoff has once again produced a stunning cockpit detail set. This most recent set contains 27 perfectly cast resin pieces. This set does not come with instrument panels, but considering the high level of detail on the R/M instrument panels...this omission of instrument panels should not detract in any way from this very fine Black Box cockpit set. Below you'll see the major components of the detail set in close-up detail photos...the detail on this set is very crisp and flawless. The seats have to be seen to be believed....it's almost a shame to put them in the cockpit where their detail will be somewhat hidden. The Black Box seats are stunning in detail...especially when put next to the Revell/Monogram seats. This Black Box set has done something almost unthinkable....it has improved upon the cockpit in this already very nice kit from Revell/Monogram. In almost every section of the cockpit...this Black Box cockpit sets adds noticeable improvement over the Revell/Monogram cockpit. I also found the instruction sheet to be easy to make out and very well drawn and with some good painting instructions as well.
