I just got pics of a new kit from Meteor Productions. Here is what Dave at Meteor had to say about it. Steve Bamford

WOW! The PB4Y-2 master
is finished, and I'm not kidding, it's the finest master pattern I've ever
seen. It includes over 100 parts!!! This one will blow everybody away, although it will be $200+ when
released. The kit will include decals for one non-PYN nose art (Ol'
Blunderbuss) and we've almost completed the artwork for four PYN-up Decals nose
subjects (on two
sheets) to be available at the same time as the
kit.
The nose and waist turrets will have half the bubbles cast in clear (the half with the windows, and should be outstanding. The main canopy clear fixes the problem in the Monogram kit where the canopy is too shallow. I'm not sure we can release this as a separate correction for a B-24 kit because I haven't tried the fit yet.

I've decided to cast the fuselage in halves (not quarters as I had previously told you) since they are so damned beautiful! The packaging will be challenge, but the parts are just too amazing to cut up!

The multi-part turret is rich in detail and includes some excellent recessed detailing on the gun barrels. |
The kit should be on the street by the
end of April or so--I can't wait to get started!
