Another
Re-release of this extremely popular sheet. The first time around,
Twobobs completely sold out of this sheet in less than 10 days so be
sure to make it a point to get yours early before they sell out this
time around.
There are three A/C represented on this sheet with two AJs and one JA being represented. There are enough stencil markings for two complete A/C. The full color instruction sheets do a great job of representing the complex camo schemes on the AJ aircraft. Expected release date is 27 Feb. 2004.With the re-release of the Airfix (old Esci) Viggen kit comes this decal sheet from Twobobs. This has to be the most inclusive 1/48 scale sheet ever released on this jet ever. There are four aircraft represented on this sheet with enough stencil data for two. There are two AJ (Attack) and two JA (Fighter) versions of these jets represented. You can tell the difference between the two by the vertical stab. The shorter stab aircraft are the AJ (Attack) versions. Sten Sunderlin of Flying Colors Aerodecals was a huge help in getting these done. He provided the Two Bobs with tons of reference material and has done a VERY good job of documenting these aircraft. Look for a release of this artwork in 1/72nd scale under the Flying Colors name. |

Mike Reeves of
Hoboken, New Jersey also found time to break away long enough from his
garbage pick-up duties to help the Two Bobs out with a lot of references
he's been gathering on these jets over the years. Turns out that
Mike's a huge Viggen fan and had lots of good info. to share with the Two
Bobs.
The biggest upside to this sheet is the stencil data. It is jam packed full of all the tiny stencils found on these jets.....you'll spend quite a bit of time putting on all the Stencil decals. You also get formation lights for 2 jets. The jets with the green/Black paint schemes will be quite the eye catching models when they are done. The Grey jets look good in their own right.....but the Green/Black jets will steal centre stage. |
