class. These are
very thin and clearly and crisply printed decals. To avoid
problems with the more complicated decals....some decals were printed
as 2 decals that will be layered on the model to achieve one decal and
avoid register problems.
Directly to the right on the top is a sample scan showing a close-up of part of one of the decal sheets. The scan does not do these decals justice......they are perfectly clearly printed and everything is in register. Artwork is quite varied from a Tigers head, a Green Dragon holding a Sword, Polar Bear, Birds of Prey and a Shield containing the image of a Warrior on horseback slaying a dragon, a sharks mouth and more. This decal set includes 11 Soviet/Russian jets, 2 Indian, 2 Ukrainian, 3 Chinese and one Vietnamese Flanker. |

are a range of Flanker greys and blues. Also included in this decal
set is a colour 12 booklet telling about each plane....including colour
sideview profiles and finally topside and bottomside profiles detailing
decal placement. The 4 pages of B&W instructions assist with
painting and decal placement. The paint schemes include soft edge
camo schemes and 2 of the 3 colours on most of these jets is very close in
shade.....so the instructions are tricky to figure out....but after a few
minutes of careful study it is possible to figure out the camo paint
schemes.
Planes included in this decal package are.... Russia

The most famous plane on this decal sheet is Russian Su-27 'Red 38/36', 2nd Squadron, 941st IAP-PVO, Kilp-Yavr AB, Northern MD, Russian Federation, 1999. This aircraft has a red, white, blue triangle with walrus artwork on the tail. Aircraft is blue, light blue and grey with a dark grey nose. This plane is famous because as #38 it intercepted and accidentally collided with a Norwegian P-3 Orion. No one was injured in the incident. The plane was repainted 'Red 38' to make it easier to deny the incident to some degree. These decals are highly recommended for your next Flanker project. |
