This new
book from Model Alliance is created by well known profile artist Jon
Freeman.
This book is
a joint venture between Hawkeye Models and Oz Models in Australia and
The Aviation /workshop in the UK.
The book
focuses giving modellers a large selection of colour profiles to help
expand their reference library. I've scanned atiny selection of
the colour profiles to give you a small taste to the many colour
profiles presented in this book. In fact there are 91 different
F-104 colour profiles featured in this book. They cover F-104's
from Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Italy, Japan, Jordan,
Spain, Taiwan, The Netherlands, Turkey, and the USA (including NASA).

Included with each colour profile
is info on the particular plane as well as information about it's paint
scheme. Above is an example of one of the colour profiles. Some of
the profiles also include a top and bottom view and two side profiles to
give an all around view of certain F-104's included in this book. Below
I've include a tiny selection of some of the pages....out of respect to the
artist's copyright, I am not providing larger scans.

Also included in the book is a
page with 25 colour chips for the various F-104's world wide.
Towards the back of the book are 2 pages showing a Model Alliance decal sheet
and eight F-104 colour profiles showing the planes included in that decal
sheet. The 1/48 and 1/72 decal sheets are NOT included with this book, but
there is ordering instructions included in this book, so you can order the decal
sheet. 1/72 decals (MA72-601) cost £

I'm quite impressed
with the quality of this new book. Although the cover is a soft
cover....it is a heavy weight cardboard cover. The pages are heavy weight
paper....this is a reference book sure to last a long long time.
I'm quite impressed with this new book and I look forward to other additions to
this new On Target Profile Series. I recommend this book to anyone
interested in the F-104's around the world. Special thanks to Jon Freeman
for the review sample and bringing this book to my attention.
