Scale is a decal company based in in the Far East and their decals focus
mostly on Air Forces of the Far East, but they also do decals for
aircraft of other Air Forces....such as Israel. This 1/72 decal
sheet focuses on two different F-16's of the Royal
Thai Air Force. There are enough stencils included to build 1 of
the 4 planes featured on this decal sheet.
Aircraft #1 is a F-16A plane #10311 of the Royal Thai Airforce. |

| This is a special Anniversary scheme to mark 40,000 hours of flight. This plane belongs to 103 Squadron. The special markings seem to be confined to so very brightly coloured artwork on the tail of a Falcon bird of prey in full attack mode with the text "40000 HOURS". You do have the option of building this aircraft in it's regular paint scheme without the special anniversary artwork. There is also a small pouncing grey Tiger on both sides of the nose. |

One thing worth noting is that the forward part of the canopy is smoke tinted and the rear portion is clear tint. The Tool 'n' Tips section here on ARC has some ideas on how to tint canopies. The decals are clearly printed. They are a bit thicker than most decals, but they aren't overly thick and should settle down just fine....I don't see this as a problem. The colour of the decals looks very good and the detail on tail artwork and the Tiger nose art is very clear. Because these decals are from the Far East....the instruction sheet refers to one of the Far Eastern Brand of paints. This shouldn't be much of an issue, but you will have to dig up a conversion chart of some sort to figure |
