This is the first look at the newest Decal sets from Hawkeye Models Australia.  In the weeks to come I will review the other new decals available.
Todays review is of the decals for the Australian Aircraft used by the United Nations in Peace Keeping, East Timor, Cambodia and the Sinai Dessert.    
This decal set contains two decal sheets, one of which has all the markings, the other the white backing sheet. The decals are crisp and clear giving the modeller the appropriate squadron insignia as they appeared on the aircraft. The decal sheets come in one piece, which enables the user to cut decals as needed.  The set also contains five sheets of plans, with colour pictures and drawings of each aircraft, and stencils   are in black and white.
The decal set contains markings for the following aircraft:
  • Kiowa’s 161 Reconnaissance Squadron in East Timor
  • Kiowa’s 162 Reconnaissance Squadron in East Timor 
  • Black hawks 5TH   Aviation Regiment in Cambodia 1993
  • Black hawks 5TH   Aviation Regiment in East Timor
  • Iroquois RAAF    To the Sinai Dessert 1976 to 1979
  • Iroquois RAAF     To the Sinai Dessert 1982 to 1986  

These decals are a very fine quality and users are advised to    read all instructions carefully before use.                     
The decals are well made and will add the finishing touch to your   model I am sure they will meet the expectations of even the most fastidious model enthusiast.
The decals are available in the following scales, and are reasonably price for the modeller.
 
1/72 scale set is $18.00
1/48 scale set is $22.00
1/35 scale set is $28.00
