This new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks includes markings for four different 1/32 F4U-1A/D Corsair.  The recommended kit for these decals is the 1/32 Trumpeter F4U-1.

The first Corsair on this sheet is a FG-1D "Skipper's Orchard" HQSS-22 from le Shima in June 1945.  The number on the side of the fuselage is 99 and this plane features some very attractive sexy noseart on the forward part of the engine cowling.  The artwork consists of a naked woman sitting in a drinking glass with text beside her that reads "Skipper's Orchard".  The plane is painted Glossy sea Blue.

The second Corsair on this sheet is a F4U-1A "Ring-Dang-Doo" BuNo:50033 with VMF-217 in Sept 1944.  The number on the side of the fuselage is 033 and this plane also features some very attractive sexy noseart.  The artwork consists of a naked woman sitting with text beside her that reads "Ring-Dang-Doo".  The plane is painted Glossy sea Blue with tiny white patches on the forward edge of the tail and the tails horizontal flying surfaces as well as the tip of the rear fuselage.

The third Corsair on this sheet is a FG-1 BuNo:13993 with VMF-222 from Samar on the Philippine Islands in March 1945.  The number on the side of the fuselage is 993 and this plane features some interesting USMC insignia on the forward part of the engine cowling.  The artwork consists of two white anchors with a blue rope framed circle superimposed over the anchors and the text "USMC"  and "Seabees" and a cartoon picture of a Bee.  The plane is painted Non Specular Sea Blue on top......Intermediate Blue on the side of the fuselage and Non Specular white on the underside (the outer half of the wings on the underside are painted Intermediate Blue).

The fourth Corsair on this sheet is a F4U-1A with VMF-122.  The number on the side of the fuselage is 643 and this plane also features noseart.  The artwork consists of a playing card of the Ace of hearts on the forward side of the engine cowling.  The plane is painted Glossy sea Blue with a white panel on the side of the tail.

The decals were flawlessly printed and the clear carrier film is trimmed very close to the crisply printed colored areas.  The colours look good and will cover very well.  I particularly like the selection of sexy noseart.  You get enough national markings for one aircraft.

The instructions are clear and includes 3 view drawings and an extra page of text instruction is included with a small bit of info about some of the planes as well as helpful tips for decal application.

A very nice decal sheet and highly recommended for all the "bent wing" builders out there.

I would like to thank Cutting Edge Modelworks for providing me with this review sample.
