This softcover book from HT Model Magazine is specifically devoted to the Avia B-34, B-534 and Bk-534. This is a soft cover book made from heavy weight glossy magazine paper, so it |

will hold up well to continued use. The cover....(although a soft cover) is made from thick glossy paper and will hold together well. The book is produced in Slovakia, so it is written in the Slovak language and comes with 5 pages in English to translate the main introduction text of the book, but the true beauty and value of this book is it's detailed walkaround photos and historical wartime photos of Avia B-34, B-534 a Bk-534's. HT Model has been busy producing first rate books to assist modellers to get the tiny details accurate on their model aircraft. This book has such things as photos of the Avia B-534 factory with photos of skinless aircraft showing the framework of the aircraft....this includes close-up shots from the outside of the skinless cockpit. There are also a huge selection of 131 black and white historical photos....some showing various aircraft shortly after they crashed. Also included are 57 detail walkaround photos showing close-up detail of these aircraft currently housed in museums. |

The 56 colour profiles are single side views with the occasional view of the top and or bottom of the wings to give you an idea of the paint scheme and markings. Below I've include a tiny selection of some of the 51 pages....out of respect to the producers of this fine book, I am not providing larger scans.

| 28 Cockpit photos | over 4 pages of Engine photos | Colour profiles | 11 pages of black and white drawings |
56 different Avia B-34, B-534 and Bk-534 colour profiles featured in this book
The engine, skinless airframe and cockpit photos will be of benefit to anyone building one of these aircraft as a model. Although some of the photos are in black and white....they are still very good photos.
Also included is 5 pages that include black and white line drawings and some of these line drawings seem to be from a wartime technical manual. These line drawings explain the operation of various systems on the aircraft including cockpit controls as well as line drawings showing some engine plumbing detail.
I'm quite impressed with the quality of this book
and I look forward to other editions from this company. I recommend this book to any modeller with an interest in the Avia B-34, B-534 and Bk-534. I am quite pleased to add this book to my library.....it will prove to be a very helpful book and I look forward to the day I build one of these tough biplanes. Special thanks to the folks at HT Model Magazine for the review sample and bringing this book to my attention. All HT Model publications can be
