This sheet includes markings
2 different OV-10 Mohawks. This sheet if designed for the 1/48
Roden OV-1A Mohawk kit.
The first aircraft
included on this decal sheet is a Grumman OV-1A Mohawk s/n 60-3740 from
Ft. Rucker, Alabama in 1984. This plane was built in July 1961 and
in operation until March 1984.
After that is became a
maintenance training aircraft at Ft Eustis. It was finally
declared surplus and slated to be destroyed as a ground target at
Aberdeen proving ground. But a group of museum volunteers lead by
John Vanderhave got permission to restore the aircraft and put it on
display at the New Jersey Aviation Hall of Fame in Teterboro, NJ.

The second aircraft
is a Grumman OV-1A Mohawk s/n 61-2709 with the 23rd Special Warfare
Aviation Detachment in Vietnam in 1963.
