This new resin item from Shawn Hull is a pair of CBU-103/104/105 WCMD (Wind Corrected Munitions Dispenser).  These weapons are basically upgraded cluster bombs such as the CBU-87, that have been retrofitted with a new tail kit to turn them into preceision guided weapons.  These weapons are currently used by B-52s and Block 50 F-16s, and will eventually be carried on the B-1, F-15E, and F-117.  I have also asked around to see if these weapons will eventually be used on the A-10 after it goes through the A-10C upgrade program, but this is not clear as of yet.

WHAT YOU GET:

Four resin parts that will allow you to complete two WCMD bombs.  As with all of Shawn's resin accessories, the parts are cast in a sturdy white resin, and are well detailed.  My set was in perfect order, and all parts were well-formed, with no bubbles or voids.  In addition to the resin itself, a small instruction sheet is provided.  The sheet gives you a slice of history about the weapon, as well as assembly and painting guides.  In addition, Shawn provides valuable information as to how the WCMD is deployed on the F-16 (parent mounted only), as it can currently only carry two of these weapons.  Shawn even goes so far as to recommend decals for F-16s that use WCMD.
