| This new decal sheet from Model Alliance has markings for 2 different Jaguar GR3's with the Royal Air Force painted up as Special schemes in 2005 and is available in 1/72 and 1/48 scale. | ||
|
This first aircraft is a Sepecat Jaguar GR3A XX117, "PA" of 16 Squadron based at RAF Coltishall during 2005. The paint scheme on this aircraft is a 90 year anniversary scheme (1915 - 2005). This aircraft wears the standard 2 tone grey scheme except for the black and gold artwork covering the entire tail with "The Saint" logo adorning the tail. Also adorning the tail is a large squadron crest which is down as 3 layers of decals to ensure perfect registration. This second aircraft is Sepecat Jaguar GR3A XZ112, "GA" of 54(F) Squadron based at RAF Coltishall during 2005. The paint scheme on this aircraft is a 89 year anniversary scheme (1916 - 2005). This aircraft wears the standard 2 tone grey scheme except for the black and yellow artwork covering the entire tail with a British Lion artwork adorning the tail. |

The decals themselves are flawless quality and very clearly printed on the 1/72 sample I have before me with even the tiniest stencils being readable . Colours look solid and will cover very well, but the decals appear thin and of a very high quality. a Full set of stencils is included on this decal sheet. The instruction sheets include 2 view colour drawings of each aircraft on this decal sheet and 4 view colour drawings showing the standard 2 tone grey scheme and stencil placement. All necessary information about painting (including cockpit painting) is included as well as BS#'s, FS Federal Standard numbers, Humbrol, Modelmaster, Lifecolor and Xtracolour. |
