This softcover book from HT Model Magazine is specifically devoted to the Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-6 book.  This is  a soft cover book made from heavy weight glossy magazine paper, so it will hold up well to continued use.  The cover....(although a soft cover) is made from thick glossy paper and will hold together well.  The book is produced in Slovakia, so it is written in the Slovak language and comes with  pages in English to translate the main introduction text of the book, but the true beauty and value of this book is it's detailed walkaround photos and historical wartime photos of the Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-6.

The Messerschmitt Bf-109 G-6 was flown by Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, Yugoslavia, Romania, Switzerland, Hungary, Italy and Slovakia.  This book has a large selection of photos......85 B&W photos and 205colour glossy photos.  There are also 48 beautifully done colour profiles of various Bf-109 G-6's used by a variety of air forces including captured aircraft......I've included one colour profile below to give you a feel.  The photos in this book focus on most if not all the detail areas that modellers are obsessed with.  Lots of cockpit photos.....colour photos of the engine......photos of various cannons and machine guns, fuselage framing and photos of aircraft under restoration and partially disassembled and so much more.  As well as photos of the landing gear, fuselage interior, guns, cockpit, exterior, and on and on.  This book is very complete and I think there is no area of the Bf-109 G-6 not covered in the detailed walkaround photos in this book.

One very interesting part of this book is the pages with technical drawings from the original technical manuals.

48 different colour profiles featured in this book

The 48 colour profiles are mostly single side views, but  with the occasional view of the top of the wings to give you an idea of the layout of the camo and placement of stencils on the airframe.  Below I've include a tiny selection of some of the pages....out of respect to the producers of this fine book, I am not providing larger scans.

Cockpit photos Vintage photos  Engine photos Colour profiles  black and white drawings

Helpful engine, gun, cockpit and other detail photos....in colour.

With this book it would be possible to build a 1/32 Bf-109 G-6 and super detail all areas of the model.

I'm quite impressed with the quality of this book and I look forward to other editions from this company.  I recommend this book to all modellers planning on building this aircraft as a model.  I am quite pleased to add this book to my library.....it will prove to be a very helpful book in my reference library.  Special thanks to the folks at HT Model Magazine for the review sample and bringing this book to my attention.
