Here is a review of a new release by MAW Decals headed up by Creighton Henthorn. MAW stands for Marine Aircraft Wing. Two different markings are included for one aircraft BuNo 164871: July 2001 July 2003 Markings are included for a jet at 2 marking-stages - as a hi-vis commander's jet and a low- vis jet. Many stencils are included as well. A smaller sheet contains the formation light panels. A nice feature are the front under-side fuselage decals for the vents, and even some ejection seat decals. |

A very nice feature included are masks to paint the false canopy under the forward fuselage The decals are beautifully printed by Microscale, and are in-register. The smallest of markings are crisp and clear, and the white markings are very bright and clean. There is also a full color 2-sided instruction sheet with FS color callouts, paint patterns, reference photos and very nice artwork. A single-sided sheet is included with numerous weapons loads combinations. |
