Here is a review of a new release by MAW Decals headed up by Creighton Henthorn. MAW stands for Marine Aircraft Wing. Two different markings are included for two aircraft BuNo 164959 from VMFA(AW)-533 BuNo 164694 from VMFA(AW)-224 Markings are included for 2 hi-vis jets from VMFA(AW)-224 and VMFA(AW)-533. Some stencils are included as well. Though, the formation light panels will need to be sourced from the kit, which should not be an issue. The decals are beautifully printed by Microscale, and are in-register. The smallest of markings are crisp and clear, and the white markings are very bright and clean. There is also a full color 2-sided instruction sheet with FS color callouts, paint patterns and very nice artwork. |

A bonus CD is included that has numerous, outstanding reference photos for VMVFA(AW)-224, 332 and 533 (including squadron patches), and a load out Word document. This is a great addition and reference collection.
