This latest release from Lifelike Decals decal sheet features four different Me-109's. This is Part 2 of a series dealing with the Me-109 in Luftwaffe markings from the summer of 1940 in France to the final months of WW2 as well as a Me-109 on the Russian Front in 1941. The first plane is a Me-109 G-6, White 1, flown by Hauptmann Erich Hartmann, Sta. Kap. 7/JG52, Hungary/Vezprem in March 1945. This is a well known aircraft flown by the highest scoring Luftwaffe ace. This aircraft has yellow theatre band and yellow wing tips. The second plane is a Me-109 E-1, with2/JG77 from Marquisse AB in France in the late summer of 1940. This aircraft has a long yellow lighting bolt on the sides of the fuselage which is represented by a white decal that goes under a separate yellow decal. This aircraft Black 13 made a forced landing. |

The third plane is a Me-109 F-2, code # 9, flown by Oberleutnant Hans Philipp, Sta. Kap. 4/JG54 from Staraja AB in Russia in October 1941. This aircraft has a huge number of victory markings on the tail. This aircraft has yellow under the nose cowling as well as yellow wing tips. The fourth plane is a Me-109 G-6/R-2, white 15 flown by Fhj-Uffz. Otto Leisner, 1/JG300, Bad Worishofen/Germany in July/August 1944. This aircraft has a red theatre band. The quality of these decals is of very good quality. The decals themselves are clearly printed and in perfect register. Some roundel decals come in 2 layers to ensure perfect registration. The instructions also include an extra page with 4 view line drawings showing stencil placement. You can purchase these decals either directly from Lifelike Decals at fax number is +81-3-5680-6733, and e-mail is lifelike@eos.ocn.ne.jp. or from HobbyLink Japan. |
