The first plane is a USMC F9F-2
Panther plane # 2 "Jet Cats" with VMF-311 from K-3 South Korea in
1953. This aircraft is blue overall with white script on the nose that
reads "Jet VMF-311 Cats". This aircraft is special because
painted on it's side are all the missions markings for the whole squadron.
VMF-311 had the most combat missions during the Korean War.
The second plane is a USMC F9F-2
Panther with VMF-311 from K-3 South Korea in 1953. This aircraft is blue overall with white
artwork on the nose of a Panther head with paws with nails extended. The
head has an open mouth with big teeth....simular to a sharks mouth artwork from
WW2.
The third plane is a F9F-3
Panther plane # 1 with the Blue Angels flown by LCDR Raleigh E.
"Dusty" Rhodes, Team Leader of the Blue Angels during the 1949
Demonstration Season. Paint scheme is overall blue with yellow
letters.
The decals were flawlessly
printed on 2 decal sheets. A set of stencils is also included as well
as painting masks. The colours look good and will cover very well.
The masks are to assist you with
doing the complicated nose markings if you choose not to use the supplied
decals. The instruction sheets are easy to follow.
I would like to
thank
Yellow Hammer Decals
for providing me with this review sample.
