This new decal sheet from PYN-UP Decals includes markings for three different 1/32 P-51 Mustangs with sexy noseart (two versions of the same plane)

The first aircraft is a P-51D-10-NA "Passion Wagon" flown by Lt. C. E. Weaver with the 362 FS/ 357 FG in 1945.  The prop spinner is red and yellow striped with a red and yellow checker board stripe around the front of the nose directly behind the prop spinner.  White code letters on the fuselage are G4 A.  This Mustang is overall British Dark Green with Neutral Gray or natural metal undersides (this is historical debate about this issue).  The nose art is a sexy nude blonde girl laying on her back.  The artwork for this aircraft has a white decal to go underneath the noseart decal.

The second plane is an earlier version of the above aircraft.  This is a P-51D-10-NA "Passion Wagon" flown by Lt. Matthew Martin with the 362 FS/ 357 FG in late 1944. There is a white stripe on the top and bottom of the wings and tail horizontal flying surfaces.  The nose art is a sexy nude blonde girl laying on her back.  The artwork for this aircraft has a white decal to go underneath the noseart decal.

The third plane is a P-51D-10-NA "Temptation" flown by Lt. Arval Robertson with the 362 FS/ 357 FG in late 1945.  The prop spinner is red and yellow striped with a red and yellow checker board stripe around the front of the nose directly behind the prop spinner.  Black code letters on the fuselage are G4 N.  This Mustang is overall British Dark Green with Neutral Gray or natural metal undersides (this is historical debate about this issue).  There D-Day stripes on the underside of the rear fuselage. The nose art on the side of the engine cowling is a sexy lady with a cartoon character looking up her dress and the yellow script "Temptation" The artwork for this aircraft has a white decal to go underneath the noseart decal.

The noseart decals are delicate and two are included for each plane in case you mess up the first ones.  Exacting instructions are included on how to prepare and install these decals…..read these instructions carefully to avoid disaster.  Apparently these noseart decals are very thin and need special care, but once installed they will look very accurate and realistic.  The nose art decals are printed on a one piece decal sheet, so you’ll need to cut the decal free from the rest of the decal film…..patience is the key here.  The noseart decal is beautifully printed with fantastic detail and lovely shading.

The instructions are clear and include views of each aircraft and an extra 3 pages of text instructions with a small bit of info about both the planes as well as helpful tips for decal application and line drawings to assist with stencil placement.

A very nice decal sheet and  sure to please the lucky 300 people that manage to buy one of these limited edition sheets.

I would like to thank PYN-UP Decals for providing me with this review sample.
