This new decal sheet from Cutting Edge Modelworks includes markings for a very colorful 1/48 F-100D.

The aircraft featured on this decal sheet is the F-100D-65-NA, 56-3000 "Triple Zilch," flown by Col Raymond Toliver who was the 20th TFW Wing Commander at RAF Wethersfield, Essex, England in late 1957.

This is the best-documented of the several various markings schemes applied to "Triple Zilch" over its lifetime.

The decals are beautifully printed on 2 decal sheets and you get plenty of color for your bare metal F-100D.  This was a colorful time for the USAF and this particular jet is a prime example.  I was impressed by the amount of squadron noseart on the sides of the fuselage on this Hun.

The decals are up to the usual Cutting Edge Modelworks quality with some decal coming in 2 layers to ensure perfect registration.  There is also white under some of the colorful squadron artwork to ensure the colors stay bright and vibrant.

A very nice decal sheet and combining these colorful markings with the multi shade bare metal finish on the F-100D will look excellent when completed.
