Here's a review of a new release from Twobobs. This sheet features the option to build 2 of 10 different A-10A Warthogs from the 47th FS from Barksdale AFB. LA. There is two complete set of markings and nose art adorns every single one of these jets. The genesis of the artwork is the old Al Capp comic strip Li'l Abner. The prototype A-10A+ SATCOM jet is included in this decal sheet. There is 2 decal sheets.....one with all the general stencils and markings and a second smaller sheet with all the noseart. Recommended Kits:
Click on images below to see larger images The instructions are clear and include 4 views of one of the aircraft and side views of 2 of the aircraft. The decals are beautifully printed on 2 decal sheets. The noseart decals are clearly printed and capture the characters in the small town of Dogpatch from this comic strip that ran in American and Canadian newspapers from 1934 to 1977. The full color instruction sheets include 11 photos of the real aircraft. The jets have basically the same camo and markings and it is the serial numbers and noseart that differs between each aircraft and this is all easily sorted out on the instruction sheets. Paint codes are called out in FS #'s, Testors MM, Humbrol, Gunze Sangyo and Xtracrylics. The difficult part of this decal sheet is which 2 jets you want to build......decisions, decisions, decisions!!!This sheet is available through http://www.twobobs.net/ and select US Hobby Shops. Overseas customers can purchase these from Twobobs site or through Twobobs network of overseas distributors. Remember, shipping is always FREE to US Customers at Twobobs!! Steve
