1/48 F-15 Gunfighters decal sheet |

This new decal sheet from Afterburner Decals includes markings for 4 different 1/48 F-15E's with 366th FW "Gunfighters" Mountain Home AFB. The first aircraft is a F-15E with 366th FW CO in 2008. The paint scheme for this aircraft is the standard F-15 E scheme of Gunship Gray FS 36118 overall. The inside of the rudder has a black line artwork of an eagle in attack mode with talons extended. The side of the engine intake has a "Gunfighters badge". The fin flashes on the tails are white with the word "Gunfighters" with Old West gunfighter six shooter pistols. The second aircraft is a F-15E 12th AF CO in 2008. The paint scheme for this aircraft is the standard F-15 E scheme of Gunship Gray FS 36118 overall. The inside of the rudder has a black line artwork of an eagle in attack mode with talons extended. The side of the engine intake has a badge with the Latin words "Audentes Fortuna Juvat" which means "Fortune Favors the Bold" and the side of the nose has the "Let's Roll" color eagle/flag/sword artwork. The other engine intake has a 12th Air Force badge with artwork that harkens back to the beginning of the 12th Air Force on August 20 1942. The fin flashes on the tails are white with 12th Air Force artwork of golden wings with "12" inside a 5 pointed white star. The third aircraft is a F-15E with 366th FW "Gunfighters" OG jet at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan in 2007. The paint scheme for this aircraft is the standard F-15 E scheme of Gunship Gray FS 36118 overall. The inside of the rudder has a black line artwork of an eagle in attack mode with talons extended. The side of the engine intake has a badge with the Latin words "Audentes Fortuna Juvat" which means "Fortune Favors the Bold". The other engine intake has a "Gunfighters badge" with artwork of an Old West gunfighter. The fin flashes on the tails are gray with the word "Gunfighters" with Old West gunfighter six shooter pistols. The fourth aircraft is a F-15E with 366th FW "Gunfighters" CO in 2003. The paint scheme for this aircraft is the standard F-15 E scheme of Gunship Gray FS 36118 overall. The inside of the rudder has a black line artwork of an eagle in attack mode with talons extended. The side of the engine intake has a "Gunfighters badge". The side of the engine intake has a badge with the Latin words "Audentes Fortuna Juvat" which means "Fortune Favors the Bold". The fin flashes on the tails are gray with the word "Gunfighters" with Old West gunfighter six shooter pistols. Click on images below to see larger images The instructions are clear and include 4 views of each aircraft. The decals are beautifully printed on 1 decal sheet with 2 further insert decal sheets. Two complete set of stencils are included on this decal sheet. These markings are sized for the 1/48 Revel kit and some decals come in multiple layers to ensure perfect registration.The F-15 is an awesome jet and it's good to see markings for the Strike Eagle Gunfighters.
