This latest release from Lifelike Decals decal sheet features 4 different P-51's.  This is Part 2 of  a series dealing with the P-51's including noseart of some sort on all 4 of these aircraft.

The 4 aircraft include are all in bare metal.  American P-51's from WW2 established themselves as the fighter that went all the way to Germany with the American bombers.  The P-51 like most American fighter aircraft were adorned with colorful markings and paint schemes to help them stand out as the numbers of Allied fighters began to dominate the skies over occupied Europe.

  • P-51B-15-NA, 42-106924, QP L flown by Lt. Ralph K. Hofer of 334FS, 4FG, June 4 1944 out of Debden.  Paint scheme is bare metal overall with Olive drab anti-glare panel fore and aft of the cockpit with red prop spinner and a red stripe on the tail.  There is large noseart of a boxing winged Donkey with the script "Salem Representative".  This plane has quite a few kill markings....17 in all.

  • P-51D-5-NA, 44-14059, B3 Y flown by Capt. Fred Munder Jr. of 381FS, 363FG, July - August 1944 out of Maupertus AS or Azeville AS.  Paint scheme is bare metal overall with Olive drab anti-glare panel fore and aft of the cockpit with red prop spinner and D-Day stripes on the underside of the aircraft.  There is large noseart of a Bald Eagle in full attack mode with talons extended on one side of the nose and the text SKYCZAR on the other side of the nose.

  • P-51B-10-NA, 42-106647, C3 D flown by Capt. John Brown Jr. of 382FS, 363FG, in August 1944 out of Maupertus AS, France.  Paint scheme is bare metal overall with Olive drab anti-glare panel fore and aft of the cockpit with yellow prop spinner and D-Day stripes on the underside of the aircraft.  There is sharks mouth on the nose and script on the nose that reads "Big Mac Junior".

  • P-51D-20-NA, 44-72322, E6 A flown by Lt. Richard Baggett of 402FS, 370FG, May 1945 out of Gutersloh, Germany.  Paint scheme is bare metal overall with blue anti-glare panel in front of the cockpit with blue prop spinner and a blue diagonal stripe on the tail.  There is text on the nose that reads "Nancy Lee" on the left side and on the right side of the nose is sexy noseart of a large breasted lady with black hair.

The quality of these decals is of good quality although the tiny 1/48 stencils were not as clear as I usually see from Lifelike Decals, so I would suggest not using the stencils on this decal sheet
