This latest release from Lifelike
Decals decal sheet
features two different P-47D's. This is Part 2 of a series dealing
with the P-47D Thunderbolt Best selection. These markings have been
previously offered in other scales by different scale by Lifelike
Decals and it is good to
see 1/32 modellers getting a chance to add these 2 great looking P-47's to their
plane is a P-47D-30-RA bubbletop, serial #44-33250 flown by Lt. Earl
Kielgass of 396 FS, 368 FG from Chievres/Belgium in November 1944.
This aircraft has noseart of an Arozona desert scene with the text
"Arizona Loraine". This plane is overall silver with a
yellow nose and as well as the top of the rear fuselage and the top of the
tail. The yellow paint on the nose extend back to a yellow lighting
bolt on the side of the fuselage. Black code letters/numbers on the
rear fuselage are "C2 L".
plane is a P-47D-30 flown by Capt. Lowell Brueland with the 355th FS/354FG,
Rosieres-en-Haye, France in December 1944. The paint scheme is a bare
metal finish with quite the selection of artwork. The engine cowling
is light blue with white diamond check pattern and a cartoon bomb and the
text "Wee Speck". The white diamonds are included as a decal
to make installation simple. This plane has 14 1/2 kills markings from
the European theatre. The anti glare panel in front on the windscreen
is olive drab. Code letters on the side of the fuselage are GQ U.

Many pilots became
Aces at the controls of the P-47 and it is a plane that was adorned many times
with noseart. It is good to see these 2 planes offered in 1/32 scale.
