Zactomodels has released a series of Russian missiles in 1/32 scale to go with their other resin goodies for the 1/32 Russian jets. This missile set is the Vympel R-27ER - AA-10 Alamo-C missile that has been carried by a variety of Russian jets.
This resin set includes 2 complete missiles.
The Vympel R-27ER - AA-10 Alamo-C missile is a extended-range semi-active-radar homing missile with a range of 130 km which entered service in 1990.
Resin casting is of a very high quality and all the detail is very well done with no air bubbles and is up to the very high standards of quality we have all come to appreciate from Zactomodels. This is a kit in itself to build these 2 missiles and I'm amazed by the number of parts that are included in each missile. I love how how Chris at Zactomodels can turn out resin castings of such high quality. These are very richly detailed missiles.....VERY detail rich. These will look stunning on your next big Russian jet.
The fins and the missile body are loaded with detail. There is plenty of recessed rivet detail on the fins.
There is one page of instructions........which seems to cover all the important stuff to get these missiles assembled. Painting instructions aren't included, so you'll have to figure that out yourself from the Internet, which shouldn't take much effort, but Zactomodels has included suggestions for decals for these missiles.
These are perfectly done missiles and will be an ideal addition to your next Russian jet. Also these were sold overseas, so adding them to Russian jets flown by other air forces is also a very good option.
You can learn more about this line of Russian missiles by viewing the In-Progress thread on the ARC forums.
I would like to thank Chris at Zactomodels for providing me with this product sample.
