This new decal sheet from Zotz Decals includes markings for 2 different P-51D's flown by the American Air Force out of Duxford during  WW2.  Both have noseart and the black and white checkerboard noses.  These decals are designed to fit the Tamiya P-51D Mustang kit.

  • "Big Dick" P-51D-20NA s/n 44-64147 MX U with the 82nd FS 78th FG.  Artwork includes 2 playing dice and the script "BIG DICK".  Finish is overall natural metal with a black and white checkerboard nose, Olive Drab anti glare panel and red rudder.

  • "LITTLE CHIC" P-51D-20NA s/n 44-72099 WZ X with the 84th FS 78th FG.  Artwork includes a scrappy looking chicken with a fighting attitude on his face.   Finish is overall natural metal with a black and white checkerboard nose, Olive Drab anti glare panel and black rudder.

The 4 pages of instructions are clear and include 4 color views of each aircraft.  The decals are beautifully printed on 1 decal sheet.  Thankfully the checker board on the nose is done with 6 decals which will make installation much less frustrating.

Thanks to Mark Proulx and Garry L. Fry for their help in producing this decal sheet.

The P-51's out of Duxford during WW2 were legendary in their fights against the Luftwaffe and this decal sheet captures 2 of these checkered nosed fighters.

You can order this decal sheet from the Zotz Decals website.

I would like to thank Zotz Decals for providing me with this review sample.
