Walkaround #1047

F-105G 63-8266 "White Lightning"

These photos were taken by Rick Lorenz at the MidAmerica Air Museum Liberal, Kansas.

63-8266 served with the 17th Wild Weasel Squadron in the 388th Tactical Fighter Wing, Korat RTAFB, Thailand in 1972, as well as with the Kansas Air National Guard.  This aircraft was featured as a two page full color spread in the AirTime publishing book "Century Jets", as well a few photos in the Osprey F-105 Thunderchief book.  She sits out in the middle of nowhere in southwestern Kansas at the MidAmerica Air Museum now and is still a very impressive machine.
