Siphon feed Airbrush converted to a gravity feed airbrush.

Having access to a toolroom helped as I was able to modify the airbrush with proper tools.  The airbrush is made of brass, so it is easy to machine it and I was basically only drilling a hole.  I did some research before modifying my airbrush.  The air passage for the trigger to the nozzle had to be identified first to avoid ruining the airbrush (drilling the hole in the wrong spot will ruin the airbrush).

I'm a right handed, the hole would be drilled to suite the side feed cups and the hole could only be drilled on the left side of my particular airbrush, because the right side has the air passage and should not be touched.  Needless to say....this modification takes some nerve, because one mistake could have permanently damaged my airbrush.  Luckily me it works great, better than before....now with my modified airbrush I can airbrush using only a few drops of paint....

KIDS DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME, IT MAY NOT WORK WITH YOUR AIRBRUSH :)

Aztek sidefeed cups & Siphon bottles were use from my beyond reconigition A4709 airbrush Set

This is my modified badger 155 anthem AB, I converted it to a gravity feed, as originally it was siphon feed and the problem I faced with the bottom feed is that I couldn't use small amount of paint to AB parts that need just a few drops of paint (such as when I do weathering etc).

Text in photo reads:

The size of hole was designed to suite the Aztek airbrush cups

Siphon feed bottle from Aztek can be used on my modified airbrush.

Text in photo reads:

The copper plug can be removed from the lower hole woithout much trouble and the airbrush can be set up in it's original configuration by plugging the hole that was drilled in the side of the body with plastic plugs that come with the Aztek airbrush.
