This is my F-16C from Tamiya Built out of box. It has alot of detailed parts and was a challenging model to build.

I built this aircraft to represent the 93RD Fighter Squadron "The Makos" from Homestead Air Reserve Base out of Miami Florida my hometown. I use to go to the base to see them fly in airshows in late eighties to mid nineties until Hurricane Andrew Blew threw Miami in 1993. The base was heavily damaged and they where talking about closing it, but later decided against it and kept it as a reserve base. I did the paint scheme typical of what the aircraft carry today, overall light aircraft gray with dark aircraft gray on top. I loaded it with 2-AGM-88 HARM Missiles, 2 AGM-65E Mavericks, 2 AIM-120 AMRAAM Missiles and 2 AIM-9M Sidewinders. The F-16 to me is a true wild weasel aircraft and is a very nimble dog fighter as well. I detailed the cockpit and landing gear to.

I hope that Homestead will never fall under the axe of the base closures because it is very rich with a history dating back to WWII and Especially the Cold War. Enjoy.
