This is a 1/32 scale Czech model T-33 modified into a Canadair built CT-133 Silver Star as flown by VU-32 CFB Shearwater, Nova Scotia in the early 80s. The model is built out of the box. It comes with EXCELLENT photo etch and very nice resin. The plastic itself is not Hasegawa/Tamiya but certainly usable. No locater holes and quite some large gaps during assembly. Nothing half a tube of putty can not cure.

VU-32 and sister squadron VU-33 out on the British Columbia coast were essentially X-Royal Canadian Navy squadrons providing missile simulation to the east and west coast naval fleets. Hence the bright orange HEY!!!!! LOOK AT ME!!! DON'T SHOOT ME!!!!!!! paint schemes.

At first I was very worried how it was turning out. BUT!! as you can see at the end of the day it looks like a CT-133. Apart from the excellent Leading Edge decals the only mods were plastic card to simulate the air vents behind the forward number, various antennae and the fuel dump.

This model was built for ARCs "Canadian Wings" group build.
