The Boeing 737-200 T43-A was used by the USAF for Navigator training and was based at Randolph Air Force Base, these aircraft were retired from service in September 2010.

The model is the Welshmodel 1/72 scale Boeing 737-200 T43-A "Gator", and is a Vac form and resin kit. The kit has the main body in Vac form and is very nicely moulded, the resin wings, engines and tail are very nicely moulded as well with no air bubbles, the undercarriage is cast in white metal and they to are very nicely formed, the decals are brilliant and cannot fault them. On overall appearance the kit seems accurate enough especially if you compare it to the Aurora kit of the Boeing 737, this kit though is not for the beginner, although this was my first model aircraft I attempted after coming back into modelling after a 20 year absent. The main problem I found with the kit was some warping in the wings, which was easily dealt with using hot water, the kit also indicated the wrong colour scheme as these T43-A were overall white and the kit tells you that the lower half of the body is light grey, luckily I did some research on the internet, I also had some trouble lining up the two resin half’s underneath where  the undercarriage is located and found that I had to use quite a lot of car body filler to rectify this, Overall though I enjoyed making this Aircraft of an unusual subject.

I hope you enjoy the photos.
