A-4F Skyhawk Cylon 3, VA-127

Today I would like to show you all, the extreme model, the finished couple of weeks back.  Thee A-4 Skyhawk was been developed in the early fifties, built by the American firm Douglas.  It was also sold to a number of the countries around the world, took part in many military conflicts during the second half 20th century. In the armed forces of the USA it was maintained throughout practically 50 years and has finished the career at School fighting arms of Naval Forces of the USA, more known as Top Gun.  Самолет this division I and have decided to construct.

Having begun the given model more than year ago, I planned to make it a "fighting" of  VA-212 squadron from the period of the Vietnamese war, but then, having received double TA-4F and a decal from Fightertown I changed my decision, having left "Vietnamese" on then.

I used the Hasegawa kit, which for today, is the best model of the given plane in 48th scale, wheel bays and a cockpit from Aires, photo etch  from Eduard.

The model is very pleasant to assemble, but has a number of the problem moments, besides pitch adjustment has added bright paints in an overall picture.

As in most jet model air intakes for the engine did not turn out very well, so I decided to put covers which has made independently on available photos. In model the nasal rack is a little altered, the metal rod of the cylinder is established, the wheel is cut out and replaced on similar, etched brake guards favourably differ from the firm.

I decided not to have the wing slats in the deployed position, thereby having committed a small error, slats on the Skyhawk self-guided and on parking are in the deployed position. In future models of this plane I will necessarily reproduce this nuance. I have chosen from possible variants of a suspension bracket, a pendant fuel tank and ACMI POD.

The model is painted by means of enamels Modelmaster and Gunze , covered with Future and an oil wash on Fairy.

At the end of process the model has been covered by a finishing covering from Акan.

Model and result has liked, but much could be made better.  I wait for constructive criticism and an estimation of the given work.

Greetings from St.-Petersburg
