Some of you might recall my last article mentioning this model being in progress.  Well here are some pics of my finished new-tooled Airfix 109E!  The model itself came with some sinking marks that had to be filled and sanded but nothing to worry about, detail is pretty nice.

It was built out of the box except for some JG.2 Richtofen Cutting Edge decals during the Battle of France in 1940.  The build is very straight forward, I painted it using Model Master enamels and Revell acrylics.

There´s not much new to say about this plane, I wanted to represent an early variant and the Airfix kit comes to the task as you can almost build every 109E variant with it.  Choices, choices!  So many schemes and combat theaters!  All in all it was fun to build I'm very pleased with this new release, now what I'm gonna do with the spare decals...

Cheers
