I
decided to have a go with HobbyBoss model in 48th scale. And I am not
disappointed! Nice quality of the plastic parts, one metal part to avoid
putting lead in the nose of the model, very good transparency of the
canopy. Almost like Tamiya.

This was
my first time with resin aftermarket part. In this case it was resin Jumo engine
from QuickBoost. Some combinations were required to fit it to the model
and plenty of putty. At the end of the day everything was fitted.
Me-262 was
painted with Gunze C, H and Tamiya acrylic paints, good quality compressor
and $8 airbrush.
Only
postshading techniques were used. No preshading. This method
gives me more control upon the final result.
