The AIDA
diva is a difficult to build model with many parts and colors! When I opened the
box I could not assemble it immediately, I decided to paint all of the deck and life
boats first. After it is assembled, the hull must be painted and decaled, because when finished
it was hard to hold and decal the hull! When all the parts are painted....you can
assemble it!

Witht he
climate in Hong
Kong, we can't use enamel paint in an air brush usually. I used Mr.Color
solvent-based acrylic color for hand painting or air-brush, but many of the floor
pattern was yellow. It was not easy to hand painted using Mr. color, so I used Vallejo/
Life color to hand painted some of the yellow floor and green color floor
pattern and used Mr. color for the beige, blue and white color. For the
pool I did not use the water pattern decal, I used the Vallejo blue & white
color to painted it to look like water. For all of the transparent parts I
sprayed a
smoke or black color on it and for the interior of the superstructure I used a black
color paper to cover all of the windows so you can't see through to the other side
and this is why some of the culture wall is also painted in black!
Photo etch is also released by Revell and it was a very good photo etch for this ship!
Enjoy the photos.
