The kit that I present
is a PC-6 Turbo Porter Air America, the American airline that operated
throughout Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. The model is by RODEN,
good quality, with recessed panel lines. I added the rivets, as in the
original mold did not have them, the first marking them with the riveting of the
Trumpeter, and then one by one marked with an awl, and after I did the washing
with tempera all the panels and rivets were accented.

The construction
is relatively simple, and painting posed a dilemma: use all the
decals or those totally airbrushed the model? Well I chose the latter ....
with the Tamiya tape I made all the necessary masking and using colors
Gunze-Sangyo I made the coloring. At the bottom of the model I applied the
Model-Master Metalizer Aluminium and polished with the power drill.
The base is made of
plastic from EDUARD, and after it has been colored, dirty, and washed, was ready
to accept the model. Not happy I bought a can of Tamiya dedicated
personnel of World War II, with a surprise inside ..... a beautiful Willys Jeep,
not advertised on the cover of the box. With several changes to the sketches and
a color in keeping with the Willys, you can make a nice diorama. Then I
added some drums and some cash Verlinden and the job is done. I wanted to
dedicate this work to all those pilots and specialists who have worked in those
years in that difficult situation, and they have done their job with honor and
pride!
