Hi everyone from Uruguay, this is my rendition of the nice Hasegawa Skyraider.

This is a very simple and accurate kit. The parts fit well and have no problems. The only thing I added was a throttle on the cockpit and the seat belts.

I chose to buy the decals from Print Scale to represent the aircraft flown by Tom Patton, who shot down a MiG 17.

I had a problem applying them because they are very thin and delicate. So I e-mailed the guys at Print Scale and they were very kind to send me another sheet. They have an incredible catalog, I highly recommend to visit their website

I looked in many books and the internet to figure out how dirty the Skyraiders were. The usual was that these airplanes were very clean, except for the exhaust stains and some oil on the undersides, so I didnīt do too much.  I used pastels and oils for the weathering.

I hope you like it!

Regards from Uruguay!
