India Republic Day

The Sud Aviation SE 210 Caravelle was the world's first short/medium-range jet airliner, produced by the French Sud Aviation

On 1st August 1953 Indian Airlines was established after legislation came to force to nationalize the entire airline industry in India.  Two new national airlines were formed.  Air India for International routes and Indian Airlines for Domestic and regional routes.

The Sud Avation Caravelle became the first jet aircraft for Indian Airlines when it was inducted in 1964.

The Minicraft kit is quite basic but good fit, hardly any putty was used, painted using Alclad polished aluminium, Tamiya white enamel and local art acrylic orange. The tail fin logo was masked and painted and other decals self made.

Also wishing fellow Indians Happy Republic Day “Jai Hind”.
